Friends of Camp Palmer
We are going to have a place to keep track of old and new friends. This will be a place to keep in touch with one another.
Let me introduce myself for those who may not remember me. I was the naturalist in 1976 and the Program Manager since 1977. I am learning to navigate this site. Wish me luck!
Email your questions about the site, camp or anything else to Chuck Wurth

As you can see below I continue to serve children as an assistant principal at a very large middle school (1,500 students) in a suburb of Charlotte, NC). I pull on many of the teachings you and camp provided me and thank you for that! I love the web page and the pictures. The improvements are amazing. I hope you have a great summer as the season begins for 4-H camp and I still am jealous that I do not get to start another summer, but constantly pull on the many great memories and experiences those summers provided me.

Steve Arnold and company of the First United Methodist Church of Bowling Green had a wonderful time at camp April 18 -20. As part of their stay they gave two hours of community service to cleaning up the farm house yard in anticipation of welcoming the new Executive Director who will be living there. Thank you to all who helped

Local volunteers recently traveled to 4-H Camp Palmer to build a railing for a three hundred feet boardwalk that covers a marsh area at the camp. The boardwalk leads campers back to an Adirondack sleeping shelter for outpost camping.
There will be a section where you can sign in and tell us the year(s) you worked at camp and what new buildings, programs or events you remember happening while you were there.

If you have a story you would like to share about your camp experience send it by email or mail a letter. Typed responses are preferred. The best way would be to email a Word attachment. Go to Chuck Wurth to send an email. Contact information to send a letter can be found on the Home page.
Suitable stories will be posted as I have time to get them on the site. Write in a language and mindset suitable for a camp audience of 9 years old. Be wholesome, kind and caring in what you tell.
